IHeart Media and Premiere Networks have given Rush Limbaugh a multi-year extension on his contract.

Dollar amount or length of time were not disclosed.

“After 28 fulfilling years, I seriously considered moving on to something else, but Rich (Bressler, COO/CFO) and Bob (Pittman, Chairman/CEO) were very persuasive,” Limbaugh said. “I’m thrilled to be continuing. And I really want to be on the air if the Russians find Hillary’s emails.”

Limbaugh has been the most popular radio talk show host for more than a quarter century. He is heard locally from noon to 3 p.m. weekdays on News 95.5 and AM 750 WSB. He has been on the station for four years.

WSB has been the No. 1 station in the market all year in overall listeners, fueled by the presidential race.

WSB and The Atlanta Journal Constitution are both part of Cox Media Group.
