Veteran Atlanta radio jock Rhubarb Jones was honored at the CMA Awards Wednesday on ABC.
He was featured along with such country luminaries as Glen Campbell, Don Williams and Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry.
Carrie Underwood, co-host for the 10th time, sang the Christian hymn “Softly and Tenderly” during the “In Memorium” segment.

He was an Atlanta radio fixture on Y106 and Eagle 106.7 from 1985 to 2008 and entered both the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame and the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame. At the time of his death, he was a senior development officer at Kennesaw State University.
